Absolutely the best shrimp I've ever eaten. It's still sizzling when it comes to you and ask for extra bread for dipping. I also got the mixed greens salad, the chocolate pistachio tart and a mocktail- all were SO GOOD! Calm, beautiful atmosphere as well. Can't wait to go back.

Charming French bistro in the garden district. No trouble parking nearby. The escargot portion is delish and generous. The hanger steak was very tender. No place to wait, so reserve and come on time.

My daughter- in law and I walked from our Prytania Street house doing some shopping along the way at Aux Belle Choses . No reservation but got there at 11:30 on Thursday . It was almost empty but we were seated at the smallest possible table with sunlight beaming in from above. We asked to move and scooted over to the next tiny table. Great food - delicious drinks - we had the Italian wedding soup , entrees of Hanger steak and the lamb shoulder with gnocchi. All very tasty and well presented . Service , not the greatest or most attentive- but our time was spent enjoying new taste sensations , conversation and no little kids !

Food: Great... the hanger steak was butter in my mouth, sides and desserts were so tasty and pretty. Service: tall bald waiter was a complete jerk. I had to ask for help from the manager and after that he was just plain condescending. I know he thought it was because we had to order all our food at once in order for the kitchen not to get backed up which restaurants have been around for a long time and I've been in so many great ones and they never had to do that to make sure they didn't get backed up but I guess let's lacking in their service in the back, no he was just mean he said things my chair was wobbly he said it's more for you. He didn't try to accommodate anything. Ambiance: I can't count how many times I've been there and every time I've sat in a different spot and it's been perfect with a new reframed view. I need to eat I'm going to.

Started with escargot, duck pate, and beets which were good. Pate should come with more fig and bread. The truffle toast, and shrimp were bad. The ravioli was amazing! The wagyu steak was tough and not a good cut. The butter that came with it made the steak better than it was. The sea bass was the thinnest I've ever seen sea bass come out but it was decent. The cauliflower was no good and didn't eat it. The Brussels were great. Had the Bordeaux for dinner which was fantastic and the chemin blanc was also delicious. Cute place with a nice outside area when it gets dark.

After many months have returned to this local favorite. Happily the front of house staff was dramatically improved on the night we dined. Waitstaff was much better than during our last visit. Our waitress was efficient and Knowledgeable with an appropriate level of familiarity. Heirloom salads, one Roasted Carrot and one Tomato, were excellent with delicious flavorful vegetables and inventive dressings. The Hanger Steak and Frites were equally yummy with a perfect crust on the hanger, while frites were puffed on the inside and perfectly crisped on the outside. The Cote du Rhône was excellent. Glad to see this great neighborhood spot is back to it's old form.

Was in town for work and was highly recommend by my customer. Really cute area, street parking. Small but decorated really cute. Seated right away as soon as we walked in, we did make a reservation. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by our waitress, so friendly and helpful! We got the shrimp and claw to start, both are amazing! For entree I had the halibut. It was crispy and flaky! Enjoyed my meal!! Everything was perfect.

Our first night during our recent trip to New Orleans found us having dinner at Lilette with the family. As my cousins had recommended this place, we were very impressed with the French cuisine that we enjoyed in a fashionable, wine-colored dining room that has some dark, sophisticated ambiance. Located on Magazine Street in the Uptown part of New Orleans, Lilette offers some terrifically prepared dishes. We ordered several appetizers that were wonderfully prepared. The grilled beets with goat cheese walnuts were exquisite while the calvados cream complimented the escargots with a rich mouthfeel. Both the potato gnocchi and crab clawes were savory, which set the stage for the short rib special I ordered for the entree and was deeply satisfying. For cocktails, both the bramble and boulevardier were excellent and well made. Between the two, the bramble was very refreshing between the creme de mure and lemon while the boulevardier packed a nice wallop between the bourbon, campari, and rosso vermouth. While I was pretty full by dessert, the quenelles were sweet and satisfying, which the poached pear really made the dish. If I am back in town, I would go back to Lilette in a heartbeat. This restaurant was spot on as a dinner house.
